Louisville Eagles Hand Drawn Logo
NFL Fields - Dolphins 2016 Added (1/4/17)
Links to fields
Spoiler
Now that I've been working with the Gridiron Uniforms Database to help add fields to the Gridiron Fields Database I'll be starting to do some historical fields, along with the current ones. There are so many past fields to do, and they are time consuming, so at least to start with I'm going to do just fields for big moments in NFL history. So I'm starting with the immaculate reception game. I'll also be skipping the on-field logos portion, to save time and memory space.
December 23, 1972 - AFC Divisional Playoffs
Raiders -7 @ Steelers - 13
December 31, 1972 - AFC Championship
Dolphins - 21 @ Steelers - 17
As always, if anyone wants templates or the full sized fields (9144 x 4344 pixels) PM me.
Some Random NFL concepts
Happy 2017 guys!
So I have begun studying graphic design in college, meaning that I am beginning the dive into Adobe Illustrator. I am really excited to get serious about something that I have always loved, so to kind of celebrate the transition, I wanted to show a couple of unfinished NFL MS Paint concepts I created. They were originally intended for a complete NFL refresh/rebrand series I was planning, but between school, work and other responsibilities I never had the time. Some will be completely new marks, while others are more like modernizations/tweaks. Anyways, without further ado, I figured I'd start out with one that I am pretty proud of, the Minnesota Vikings:
The Vikings logo is really unique and interesting, and while the 2013 logo did a decent job modernizing it, I really wanted to take that a step further. One of my first goals was to create a consistency between the horn on the viking's helmet in the logo and the one seen on the football helmets, and I really like the result. I also wanted to streamline the color scheme a little bit, which explains why I recolored the logo in both the classic scheme on the left, and my proposed new one on the right. I think most of us would agree that the black is superfluous for the Vikings, so I removed that. Another common complaint with the Vikings logo is that the helmet doesn't contrast well enough with the hair, so I decided to take that as an opportunity to add silver as an accent. I think it looks great when paired with the deeper purple and yellow I brought back from the throwback uniform. However, the classic option is provided as a comparison, and I am interested to see which you guys will like better. Anyways, C&C is welcome and appreciated, and I may be able to expand on some of these if there is enough interest.
Reno Barons Redisign
The Reno Barons were a indoor football team located in Reno NV. The Barons used to play at the Reno Events Center.
This is there old logo:
Nike State Mascot Series
Last thanksgiving, I spent the wee hours of the morning coming up with a logo. The logo had been in my head for a few days, and it was a Virginia Tech logo of a turkey incorporating the shape of Virginia. Made it, got a couple of likes, and that was it. I saw it the other day and thought it was cool, so I tweeted it back out.
It was really well received and a few people told me I need to make more. That's what I did! I made the California one a few weeks ago, and the Tennessee one today. They feel like Nike shirts to me, so I'm calling this the Nike State Mascot Series
The Continental League of Professional Baseball Clubs (Montreal Royales added)
League logo from 1917-1921
Introduction:
Hello there this is my first major post here on the forums and I am very excited to present you this project. The league is the Continental League of Professional Baseball Clubs or Continental Baseball League. The reason why I am doing this is I was inspired by many guys on here with their fantasy leagues plus I want to work on improving my graphics creations and this site is the best place for me to grow and learn in graphic design. I am looking forward to your opinions and criticisms so please let me have it haha. Anyways Most of the logos were pre made on the OOTP Forum so I won't be taking credit for their design mostly improving on them and the creation of the uniforms and so on. I will be citing my sources when available.
Background:
The league is a fantasy baseball league that follows historical elements of the NHL and NFL that start in 1917. For example this league starts in 1917 like the NHL did and in 1920 there will be two clubs from Illinois joining. There will be rival leagues and even minor leagues in the background of this adventure. My plan is to give you all each year in the game and present you new clubs and whatnot. For the first several years between 1917-1932 I will be only showcasing the clubs who are important to the story and not a one off type of club.
There will be no drafts or minor leagues until the 1930s. Also until 1932 there will be no playoffs.
Other Information:
I want this to be active from you all in the community. I see guys like Veras and chrisCLEMENT have an expansion committee. I want to have something similar to that where you all can vote on locations and team names. That won't begin until the 1960s or 70s. If anyone wants to be part of my universe with another sport or rival league let me know!!!
Thanks: Before beginning I want to thank the following people
chrisCLEMENT for introducing me to Inkscape

Concept for new high school in Kentucky
This is just for fun, but I was wondering if anyone around here could create new logos and looks for a high school named Frederick Douglass in Lexington, Kentucky. The school originally chose Stallions as the nickname for all of its sports teams, but then rescinded that decision the next day after some backlash from a lot of people.
School colors are Keeneland green and orange, and the school is built on a former horse farm that was home to six Kentucky Derby winners. Lexington is known as the "Horse Capital of the World," so Stallions wasn't a bad choice for a mascot -- it was just a bit misguided because they wanted to use it for both genders.
Anyone want to try their hand at this? Again, this is strictly just for fun and there is no reward or anything for it.
Home of the Brave: Seattle Americans HJC Contest
HJC (HockeyJerseyConcepts.com) has started a contest in which participants design a new logo, uniforms, and a "Wild Card" item for an NHL expansion team called the Americans, based off of the old Brooklyn Americans hockey club. I put my club in Seattle, made a logo and jerseys, as well as a rally/playoff towel. All designs are below.
There ya go! What do you think?
International Hockey Association
So, @JCRGraphix was nice enough to let me revive the IHA, using some of his artwork.
The IHA will start in 1991-92, as a minor league to the WHL, which can be found here, or here.
The first team, is the Minsk Bisons affiliate, the Belgrade Wolves.
For the Wolves, I kept things simple, especially for the 1990's. The Wolves will keep this look until they got promoted in 1995, when they went a little bit more 1990s.
The white jersey is the home, dark is away.
T. Kosty's ECHL Redesign (Idaho Steelheads Added 24/29)
So I'm pretty well near the end of my OHL series so I figured I'd hop right into something new. Instead of posting random concepts out of order like last time, I will be going alphabetically.
I'll be using a combination of the Sportslogos Edge template and the HJC "Random Equipment" template (not sure who created each of the elements). This is my first time using equipment in my concept so if anyone has any tips please let me know.
Up first we have the Adirondack Thunder. I used an edited version of the wordmark for the shoulder logo on the home and away, and for the alternate as well.
2016 NFL Playoff team logos
Not sure if these are the correct color versions. Maybe @ColorWerx can be of some assistance on this?
The team orders all out of order so bear with me on this.
All of these files are in CMYK format so the colors are going to be very different.
Denver Broncos 2017 Uniforms
So, happy holidays, New Year and all that to you guys. I've been stuck behind a designer's block if you will, and haven't been able to figure out a good design to make and post. Then I decided to take a look at who needs new uniforms in the NFL, and the Broncos came to mind.
The Broncos Color Rush uniforms were far and away one of the best, and it's too good a look to ignore. The all orange was a little overwhelming, but can be worked with as you see above to create a good looking set.
-Basically took the Color Rush and stretched it into a uniform set.
-Used the current logo instead of the D logo.
-Socks have stripes on them now.
-Navy alternate.
C&C on these. I might do a few more of these if this takes off.
History of a Fictional Football League (1981 Offseason)
For the past year or so, I've been developing a fictional football league, the American Football Association. Before now, I have only focused simulating seasons using dice and developing a narrative to go along with it (if anyone is interested: an explanation is under the "Running the AFA" spoiler). However, I have recently decided to learn Photoshop and Illustrator, and have determined that the AFA is the perfect project to practice on. So, starting in 1946, I am designing the logo and uniform for each team. Once I have finished that year, I will continue progressing through seasons, and will introduce new designs whenever teams rebrand, change their uniforms, relocate, or expansion teams are added to the league.
I am looking for feedback and criticism for every aspect of the designs, from the template (which is based largely on the one used by the gridiron uniform database) to the specifics details of how I put together each team.
The year is: 1981
Current Divisions and Teams
If anyone finds a bad link anywhere below, please send me a PM to let me know so that I can fix it. Thank you.
Running the AFA
Spoiler
Each team is assigned an overall rating from 1.00 to 10.00 I don't do specific week to week schedules, but there is always a detailed rotation for what opponents each team should have in a given year. I generate a random number between 1.00 and 12.00 for the home team and between 1.00 and 10.00 for the visiting team, which accounts for home field advantage, and compare the results for each matchup. I compare the two scores, with the higher result being declared the winner. If the difference between the two scores is less than 1, the game went into overtime (or was a tie before the overtime rule was adopted in 1975).
I have no way to account for injuries, but I track the sum of each team's rolls, which gives me a good idea of how well they "played" in a given year. If they have an especially good season, I assume that they had a breakout player or something similar; while if they have an especially bad year, I assume that it was the result of injury problems or similar difficult situations.
At the end of each season, I decide how each team has progressed, and modify their overall rating accordingly. A team that has performed poorly will likely get worse, and teams that performed well will likely improve. I also track the ages of star players and the average age of each team, which will also impact if and by how much they improve or get worse. Finally, I track draft order, which allows me to know how well each team should be able to replenish its talent supply.
I even attempt to ensure that the names of a given time period are accurate. The overwhelming majority of names that I give to players and coaches are assigned randomly. First names are drawn randomly using dice from census records detailing the most common names of decade. I take a bit more leeway when coming up with surnames, but pull from various sources from the time period in which an individual would have been born.
I also vaguely track the economic conditions that existed in the United States and in the cities with teams, as well as the population from census to census to determine how well a team is likely to be performing financially. Based on this, I may also choose to relocate or fold teams, or add expansion teams.
After rolling the results of each season, I write a brief description of the events of that season. Sometimes it is just a few sentences explaining why certain teams had the results that they did, or detailing close playoff races. Other times the descriptions may be longer, and cover wider aspects of the game (racial integration, the introduction of new strategies, etc.).
I cannot imagine that anybody would want any of this, but I have all of the following documents and spreadsheets that are relevant to the AFA, and will provide them upon request:
- The final standings for each season and postseason results in a single spreadsheet
- The complete list of coaches by year and team, including their specialty and offensive and defensive strategies
- The complete list of all named players by year, team, and position
- The breakdown of names for any decade in which I have had the need to generate a name (so far the 1890s through the 1950s)

High School or College Basketball Uniform Redesigns (New Start and New Holstein Huskies Posted!)
Alright guys, the last topic that I posted was closed by @Atomic because I actually didn't post anything, (guess I forgot that's how long I've been off ). So now I'm starting this back up with the first concept for @TVIXX. A redesign of the uniforms for the high school he requested, the New Holstein Huskies! NOTE: @Jvelleu is the creator of the logos that you will see on the uniforms. I am taking requests as well, so please throw them at me! I'm back for sure.

AWAY JERSEY:
NHL Trio Series (Requests welcome for any hockey team!)
Lately, I've been working on a bunch of NHL trio concepts: a home, away, and third set, for teams that I think could benefit from a change. They all have unique patterns. So far, besides my first concept, I have Carolina, Los Angeles, Calgary, and Minnesota done. I'm open to requests!
OTTAWA SENATORS
For the primary set, I used a sash to showcase the Sens' current secondary logo's olive branch pattern. I feel their sleek, current font is right for this set. For the alternate jersey, I reused a classic 90s jersey with modernized logos.
C&C Appreciated!
Requests are open as well!
Professional Hockey League; A Fictional History: Milwaukee Choppers Unveil Logo, Uniforms
This is my first time really posting anything on here but I've been reading and following these forums and this site for several years now. For the past year I've been closely following the AFA project (History of a Fictional Football League, http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/98092-history-of-a-fictional-football-league-new-orleans-krewe-field/) and it inspired me to create a fictional league of my own for Hockey. Using the site https://www.random.org/lists/ I've been simulating through the seasons and creating logos & uniforms for each team. I've started the league at the 1939-40 season, with nine teams. I have results completed through the 1945-46 season as well as uniform changes so I will post one season every few days until I'm caught up, at which point I will begin posting the seasons as they happen. Because I've already completed a few seasons, the designs for the first few seasons will be pretty much set in stone but I will be accepting feedback as we get into re-branding & expansion in the '50s and '60s.

Here are the uniforms for the 1939-40 season. The template is a modified version of one I found online and will be updated as the series moves along. I wanted to keep the early logos very simple so I mostly used letters & clipart, although I created some (Boston, Detroit, Philadelphia) from scratch. logos will become more original in the future.
Standings:
1. Hamilton
2. Detroit
3. Toronto
4. Chicago
5. Montreal
6. Boston
7. Philadelphia
8. Windsor
9. New York
For two decades, pro hockey was played in three major leagues; the Southern Ontario Hockey League, the American Professional Hockey Association, and the Quebec Hockey League. After years of fighting between the two leagues it was decided to create a new league made up of the top teams from each league and the Professional Hockey League (PHL) was formed with former Toronto Racers owner Henry Lewis elected as league president. The Hamilton Kings dominated the regular season on a 30-goal effort from 10-year veteran Johnny Williams. The New York Civics finished last place despite a big rookie season from 16-year-old Sam "Skippy" Cleveland. The Toronto Racers caught fire in the playoffs, defeating Chicago before pulling off a huge upset over the rival Kings in the semifinals to face the Montreal Royale in the finals. In the best-of-5 final, Montreal took a 2-0 series lead before the Racers stormed back to win the championship with winger Wally Girard scoring the winner in game 5.
CALPROSOL - Fictional Soccer League (Team 3/40 Mission Santa Clara)
Welcome everyone to the California Professional Soccer League or CALPROSOL!
I’ve been working on this project for over a year now, but I’m very slow and meticulous, so you may have already seen state-based leagues on the boards. Nevertheless, I’m excited to present these concepts to you and get some feedback.
This fictitious league features 40 of the premier clubs in California. Many soccer clubs existed in California in the late 19th and 20th centuries, but they mostly played independent exhibitions. In 1935, 10 of the top clubs organized to form “The California League” or “La Liga California”. Expansions began after World War II in 1948 as the state and national economies began to grow. Today, the 40 CALPROSOL teams make up one of the largest and most profitable soccer leagues in the world.
Below you will find some helpful information regarding the league history, season format, and aesthetic standards.
The existing season format was introduced in 1988 as a way to reward teams for more complete seasons as well as give every team a chance to win the California Cup.
Concepts are coming soon, just bear with me!
I have a lot planned for this project, but for now, you will just see club identities and kits from the 2015-16 season. Here are some of the other things I hope to complete eventually:
- Kits for future seasons
- Goalkeeper kits
- Simulated seasons on Football Manager or something similar
- Stadium renderings (perhaps SketchUp or Revit, but probably not)
- Training gear, fan gear (scarves, shirts, hats and the like)
- Historical kits
You are more than welcome to give C&C, but I can’t guarantee I will listen. You understand, right?
Without further ado, let’s get started!
TL;DR – I’m going to make soccer concepts, I hope you like them.
Bowl Game Wallpapers
I am posting some 2016-2017 game bowl posts you for anybody that would like a desktop wallpaper.
My only thing with these is I am sure about the bars I put the team name in. I feel like they are a little plain but Im not sure what I can do with them.
But that just me if you feel differently about the team text or have any suggestions on how I can fix them just please me know.
I all will probably constantly update some of these if the schools announce they will be wearing a different helmet then the ones I already made.
All feed back will be much appreciated!
My first attempt at a template (Nike Vapor Untouchable)
I have been a longtime lurker on these boards, and only recently been expressing my opinions on work here. I am far from the level that most of you guys are, but as a hobby I really enjoy the templates people share on here. I mainly do these for my fantasy league, and everyone is blown away by the branding I create, which is heavily inspired by all you! Anyhow, I finally made a somewhat successful attempt at creating my own template. I know it is very rough in some spots, which I plan to iron out before next season begins. I'd like to hear from you guys what you think of my first work.
The main things that stick out for me once I started coloring it was the stripes on the shoulders are still there from the original photo, and the mesh at the bottom needs reworked.
