As you might know from @72freebie, Icethetics is currently hosting a logo (and later jersey) contest for the 25th anniversary of the South Carolina Stingrays. Here's my take:
I separated the elements of the Stingray's current logo: the shield and the stingray itself. As with most anniversary logos nowadays, the shield serves as a background. A chromed up 25 takes center stage.
